I have a problem with Lisp. It doesn’t do what I want. Whenever I write a Lisp program, I always find myself wanting new special forms that aren’t in the language. The object system almost never does exactly what I want. The control structures never cover all my use cases.
If only I could add new syntactic forms to the language. If only I could tweak the internals of the object system. If only I could add new kinds of control structure.
Oh, wait. I can.
